Beta Sigma Omega Chapter continues to serve all mankind and to be an extraordinary community partner in the greater Oklahoma City area. In partnership with the Oklahoma City Community Foundation, the BSO Ivy Fund was endowed in October 2004. This fund supports awards by the chapter in the areas of scholarship, charitable programs and gifts to 501(c) (3) agencies. In addition to the BSO Ivy Fund, the BSO Ivy Foundation was established in 2005. The BSO Ivy Foundation, Inc. was organized as an extension of Beta Sigma Omega exclusively for charitable, educational and scientific purposes.
Since its inception in 1937, the activities of Beta Sigma Omega support the current Supreme President program theme and encompass the targets focusing on Economics, Education, the Black Family, Health, and the Arts including:
Beta Sigma Omega Chapter makes financial contributions to various organizations, ncluding A+ Academic, the African Shoebox Project, Africare, American Heart Association, the Ambassadors Concert Choir, the American Cancer Society/Breast Cancer Research, American Diabetes Association, BLAC Incorporated, Eagle Ridge Institute, Friends of the Ralph Ellison Library, In God's Care Free Health Clinic, Langston University,the national and youth councils of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), the NTU Art Association, the Oklahoma Department of Human Services (Child Welfare Division) the Oklahoma Institute For Child Advocacy, One Church One Child, Race for the Cure (breast cancer), Sickle Cell Anemia Research, Sunbeam Senior Companions, The United Negro College Fund, the Urban League of Oklahoma City and the Young Women's Christian Association (YWCA) McFarland Branch.
The chapter continues to make outstanding contributions to the cultural, civic, and social growth of Oklahoma City, the state of Oklahoma, and the nation. As a result of its continuous involvement in the goals of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., Beta Sigma Omega Chapter has provided strong leaders on all levels, while providing service to all mankind.

- Co-hosting an Oklahoma State Centennial Founders Day
- Sponsoring the Fashionetta Program
- Funding thousands of dollars in scholarships through the chapter scholarship program and Fashionetta programs
- Partnering with Langston University and the University of Central Oklahoma in the awarding of scholarships Hosting a Centennial Salute to 100 male African-American high school seniors
- Sponsoring the Twenty Pearls Luncheon recognizing young ladies who are graduating seniors and the accomplishments of fifth grade girls
- Hosting the IVY Fit Camp to combat obesity in girls currently in grades 4th through 6th
- Providing volunteers for tutoring and other services in the Oklahoma City Public Schools and Millwood Public School Systems
- Leading the On-Track reading program in four Oklahoma City Schools helping to increase test scores. Beta Sigma Omega received national recognition for the success of this program
- Sponsoring Project Success 2010 encouraging young women attending an inner city school to stay on track for graduation in 2010
- Conducting a Tour of Homes and receiving national recognition in Homes of Color magazine
- Sponsoring the annual EBONY Fashion Fair.Hosting health fairs with flu/pneumonia immunizations and other health screenings
- Hosting the city-wide Negro Spiritual Festival.Featuring Oklahoma City youth artists in programs of visual art, drama, instrumental talent, and dance at the annual Pre-Winter Concert
- Co-sponsoring the Alpha Kappa Alpha Day at the CapitolHosting birthday parties for residents of the Jeltz Senior Center
- Providing food baskets to the needy.Collecting and donating coats to Bright Haven and other local centers
- Mentoring undergraduate chapter members on the University of Oklahoma, University of Central Oklahoma, and Oklahoma City University campuses and providing relief baskets to them during the week of final exams
- Partnering with the U.S. Department of Transportation for the Buckle UP! America Project, encouraging seat belt safety for children and adults. Beta Sigma Omega received national and regional recognition for this program
- Adopting a two-mile section of Interstate 35 between N.E. 10th and 36th Streets for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation Adopt-A-Highway Program
- Collaborating with Habitat for Humanity in helping people help themselves to build a home and for Christmas in April home renovation projects
- Maintaining active membership in the Oklahoma City Pan Hellenic organization Hosting the Winter Ball, Beta Sigma Omega's annual gala ball
